    This is such a great thread!! I think I’ll return to it and read it often. You ladies are so inspiring!

    I’ve just now gotten to the point in my TMS recovery that I am not as obsessed with my symptoms and more thinking about what I can do for fun and peace. I agree with what @HealingMe said about avoiding social media. And I would add to it that I completely avoid the news. It’s just too damaging to my health. All this doomsday talk doesn’t do me any good at all. And what is it that Tom Petty said? “Most of the things I worry about never happen anyway.”

    Here’s my current list of self-care:

    Knitting
    Watching birds
    Watching shows about art or travel
    Watching good movies (Nothing stressful!)
    Reading good novels — or listening to them
    Stretching and exercises
    Walking
    Watching the sunset or sunrise
    Sitting on my deck and smelling the fresh air
    Deep breathing
    Meditation
    Prayer
    Reading the Bible and contemplating it
    Listening to inspirational talks or sermons
    Vividly daydreaming of my fun future plans
    Learning languages on a phone app
    Playing games or doing puzzles on my phone
    Painting pictures
    Coloring
    Writing stories
    Journaling
    Watching or listening to comedians
    Listening to soothing or uplifting music
    Listening to hymns and singing along
    Eating ice cream cones
    Painting digital pictures on my phone using an app

    Love these Diana! What app do you use to paint digital pictures? This sounds so soothing.

    It’s so fun! It’s called Sketchbook. I think it comes on the iPhone. You can fiddle around with all kinds of brushes and all kinds of colors. I love it! You can also Delete it if you don’t like something you did and go back to the place where you were before.

    Today's self-care, what I intend to do:
    - mani and pedi, I always do these myself;
    - cleaning the kitchen;
    - stuffed eggs, schnitzel (using organic chicken breast) and a cold mushrooms salad (steamed mushrooms, avocado mayo, salt, minced garlic and lots of fresh dill);
    - sun exposure in the garden for 15 min, while I'll be knitting/reading.

    Yes @Mala, we might get inspired.

    ...
    I'll be making Paleo pizza today. I'll use a bought crust (made from almond flour). I'm going to put on it: tomato paste, then cut mushrooms, green onions, olives and chicken breast (it's already boiled, I have it in the fridge). Plus salt and BBQ sauce (it's Keto, no sugar added). I made this before, it's really good and has less carbs.

    I'm noticing lots of mushrooms in your cuisine, @Sita! I certainly know about their many benefits, but apart from the common brown Criminis, I haven't ventured beyond Portobellos and Shiitake. What others do you cook with?

    I love them, I'm a former lacto-ovo-vegetarian (strict for 11 years) and then I had some hormonal 'stuff' and had to start eating chicken, fish and turkey a little bit. I still eat lots of mushrooms. I was not very adventurous to be honest, I only ate the ones that you mentioned. I do my best to buy them organic when I can. I'm thinking about your question now...I'll have to try more types of mushrooms, I'll look into it.

    Love the little enoki mushroom in a nice hot bowl of pho or the king mushrooms sliced and cooked with green beans. Yum!

    Today's self care:
    - dancing (as exercise) and then stretching;
    - meditation;
    - cross stitch and knitting in the garden;
    - I made pesto using my organic garden (basil, green onion, parsley).
    ...
    Something that I like and appreciate.

    Today, self care:

    - cross stitch in the garden while having a wonderful tea: mint (from my tiny garden) + orange tea + coconut creamer + a few drops of stevia;
    - knitting a little;
    - I made a cold mushroom salad and I'm going to make homemade pizza soon for lunch. I'm using a crust (bought it) made from almond flour. Pizza will have the following toppings: pesto, chicken breast, mushrooms, onion and salt.
    - reading from a book (from the library).
