    So cool.
Amazing how these pups end up in our lives at just the right time and in serendipitous ways!

That's so wonderful, @HealingMe ! I mentioned in another post that I am working on this side project about the powerful potential of a shifts in perspectives and how this has all sorts of benefits - glad one of them for you was a deepening in relationship with your mum.

Hoping you're having a great day as well!

Sita! Gorgeous work! I can’t believe how talented you are! The cardigans are amazing. Very advanced knitting!

    Today I’m grateful for:

    • My TMS making me look super hard at my life. It was unsustainable before. Now it’s getting better.
    • Painting, drawing, coloring, sketching, digital art. I am SO happy when doing art.
    • Audible. It’s so great to listen to a novel. Reminds me of when the school librarian read to me at age 5 the first time. I fell in love with stories that very day.
    • Tom Perry’s album, Wildflowers. Just listened to it last night. Such a classic. Music is the best morphine.

Thanks. I have more modern knits and more colorful but I can't post pictures. No idea what to do. I'll think about it, maybe I'll find a solution.

    @Sita,
I wish I could do needle work like you do. I really want to learn to crochet - even took a 1/2 day seminar a few months ago but for some reason my brain just can't work it all together. I think it's the dyslexia, and then of course TMS brain makes me resist what I'm not good at.... use the button that says "Upload A File" to add an image

    Today I am thankful for:
A trip to the garden center AGAIN this year - my hubby is wonderful with taking me. He knows it truly is my happy place.
    Meeting someone new
Being able to plant my container garden
Cooking healthy and nutritious and delicious food independently
Seeing a few pounds melt away :)
    The feeling of clean sheets

Here's my veggie and herb tower. I have a TON of containers for container gardening but we started with this one two years ago when I wanted to try and get back to doing some gardening and have more independence.

Your own Private Machu Picchu! Or Hanging Garden of Babylon. I love Plants, Flowers, Herbs. My Neighbors are old school hippys and they have planted flowers everywhere and I love them for it!

Oh, @Cactusflower - this is awesome. Beautiful and practical.
What are the veggies you are growing in the containers? Are there specific veggies that seem to do better in containers?

I started exploring the possibility of growing a couple container items on my balcony, but unfortunately won't work because of some of the logistical aspects.

You've reminded me of another one of my "why's" in terms of reasons to get through this strange time of symptoms though - Love this idea of getting a little plot of land to do some gardening for myself - maybe even go and spend the summers in my hometown area where there is tons and tons of land to explore and grow all sorts of things.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Today I am thankful for:

    • Glimmers of hope and thoughts about new projects
    • Broccoli
    • Soothing Moisturizer

These thoughts are HUGE progress NewBeginning! You are beginning to think of things you CAN do. You know you can do this when you have symptoms too. TMS is BENIGN. It can't hurt you. Dr. Sarno is emphatic about it not hurting you. Your brain will TELL you it's going to "hurt" you - meaning there will be some sort of long term effect, life altering thing, catastrophe....there won't be.

I loved this thread. Good reminder to think of a couple of gratitudes before bed.
    Things i'm grateful for today:
    • Tea in the park with a friend
    • My glasses that allow me to see beautiful flowers and insects and colors and many more wonderful things
    • Soft clean sheets for me too! @Cactusflower
    • The most delicious loaf of bread from the bakery
    • Taking the decision to join this forum and seeing others grow and thrive
    • Finishing my exams for this term which means i'm one inch closer to becoming a therapist! (still 2 or 3 years to go but i'm so happy i dared to enroll in university again to study what i really wish, after realizing my first degree won't allow me to access any job that i will enjoy to do consistently)

Super cool garden, Cactus! I live in the woods, with not much sun on my back deck. Don’t have a backyard to speak of and a postage stamp front yard. There’s more sun in the front yard. This might work there! I would love to do this!

    Today I am thankful for:
    • Running water (the water needed to be turned off for construction here this morning and is still off, so am reminded of how thankful I am when it is present!!)
    • The soft fluffy yarn that was gifted to me and the reminder via @Sita to explore knitting again)
    • Courage
    • Restful sleep
    • Smell of freshly mowed grass

I lived in Mosby Woods in Fairfax for a year. Woods in the back, sun on the side. I still gardened. I had hostas in containers in the back yard deck, veggies between the houses. Hostas are super easy and pretty. They bloom!

Today I am thankful for the fact my sweet kitty still likes to be held like a baby.
    For a very comfortable bed.
REALLY WEIRD DREAMS - why not keep it interesting, and keep it real!
The opportunity and time for some luxurious self care

    Today I am thankful for:
    • a middle eastern grandma feeding me delicious food (not my grandma, just my amazing neighbor)
    • spending time in the sun with my friend
    • being cozy on my sofa watching the sea from the window
