Gratitude - What's on your list?

Today I am thankful for:
  • Seeing these wonderful pics of people's pets
  • Another day and opportunity to try again
  • My comfortable living environment
  • Grace
  • My 11 year old wallet that keeps on holding up
 
I'm grateful for being able to have a small garden, where I grow: bell peppers, parsley, green onions, mint, basil, rosemary, salads and flowers. I spend a lot of time in the garden every day, outside, reading and knitting. And taking care of the garden and petting the neighbor's cats. They come and visit. Especially one of them. I love the silence there. I just came back from the garden. I was there knitting and listening to the rain. So wonderful and peaceful.
 
Today I am overwhelmingly grateful for this forum. ❤️
Also grateful for iced coffee, ice cream made out of oat milk (no cholesterol!) and being one day closer to the NFL football season. (Cute pet photos!)

the little monster when he could still fit in the sink (and was still a bit of a monster). Makes me laugh every day, which in itself is a small blessing.

He'll put his paw into water out of curiosity but doesn't really like the result. I got him a fancy fountain with a bubbler and a large flat top dish that's stainless steel - it creates little floating bubbles which he will watch and try to catch.

I love all animals, but black cats are extra special because they just are :D

These pets they sure do add a lot to life - so awesome that he brings laughter to you day! ❤️

I am thankful for the fresh bounty of veggies that my local little grocery store offers every day
For Chester (my cat) and his perseverance: he is my TMS cat (I had another too!) and now in his dottage he is having health issues but continues to try when encouraged. He also gives himself and asks for grace on tough days. What great lessons he offers.
Records - I love music, and am so very thankful for my very large record collection

He was probably seven months old in September 2021 when he arrived at the local city shelter that I volunteered for, and I had been catless for several months. I waited six days for someone to make an appointment to meet him (still closed doors in 2021) before I scooped him up. Not realizing until I met him in person just how young he actually was (his profile was wrong) but I was already smitten by his goofy intake photo. I had to endure his rambunctious phase, and now I have a strong incentive to stay limber so I can give him his tummy rubs when he flops on the floor right in front of me. Hopefully we'll be growing elderly together, and my eventual retirement community (four more years probably) allows pets, so we're good to go for as long as we're both around.

So awesome! Somehow they have those supernatural powers to get us smitten with them before we even realize what is happening.
And, also seem to keep us on our A-game at the same time so we can care for them!
