    I'm grateful for being almost complete with a massive task at work that made me stressed because of shifting deadlines. You know, with everything going on in the world, I can't take work seriously right now.

    Today I am thankful for:
    • The postal service and being able to send a little care package to my parents
    • Feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin (and some moments of relaxation actually allowing it for the first time in sooooo long)
    • My vacuum cleaner
    • Music
    • The stream behind my home that keeps reminding me of the flow of life

    TIL - that is what those trees are called! I've seen some in the area and always takes my breath away with their blossoms covering the area.

    Things i’m grateful for

    • I had a nap! I’ve been having really fragmented sleep these days and couldn’t nap because I was full of restless energy even though I was exhausted. But today I was able to relax enough to have a restful nap
    • Tried a yoga class and loved it so much ❤️ I will keep going
    •cuddling with my friends dog (pet sitting for her while she is away!)

    Today I am so thankful for:
    • A wonderful fun spontaneous phone call with a friend
    • Exploration of different physical activities that invigorate me - yesterday kickboxing, today rebounding with weights, and tomorrow looking for other fun things to explore
    • Very tasty peanut butter honey bar
    • Positive possibilities
    • Kindness from a neighbor

    Today I am grateful for:
    • One of my pup's feeling better after having a severe allergy reaction. It has been stressful the last couple of days and I've gotten less than 5 hours of sleep. However, I am grateful I recognized how I tried to repress my feelings because of the whole situation and taking the time for myself to journal, do some emotional work, and have a good cry because of it all. Even though I wasn't afraid, it was interesting observing how old TMS symptoms begin to creep up.
    • Friday!!!
    • That my mom is happy
    • Delicious Moscow mule I made this evening :shame:

    If you have an interest, definitely would encourage looking into it more...

    Several years ago it was my go to activity and I loved the energy of it! Doing it the other day was like flipping the script now, as I have been trying to do only super calming/soothing activities (like breathing exercises/walking/slow stretching - which are great, though seemed to be sending a message to myself in some way that I'm not strong enough to do anything else). So, spending some time, kicking, punching, and bobbing and weaving with loud music on was a great opportunity to experience a perspective shift!

    There are a ton of videos online you could check out before trying a class, just to see if any of it is of interest (of course, a lot of it depends on the instructor and such so fun to explore different options)

    Looking forward to hearing if you check out a class!

    I'm looking into other "script flipping" activities now

    Today I am thankful for:
    • Being able to walk over to farmer's market this morning and just enjoy walking around seeing people's smiling faces
    • A woman on the trail this morning who motivated me to try running again (which I did for just a couple of minutes!! and it was so wonderful to move my body like that)
    • Waking up with digestive ease and slightly more calm nerves then I could have imagined a few months ago
    • Trust
    • The freshness and lightness in the air this morning + the smell of jasmine in bloom

    So happy to hear your pup is feeling better, @HealingMe! That's great that you've built your awareness and were able to take time to journal and feel all of your feelings.
    You're doing great at being present even in the midst of so much stress and little sleep.
    Be kind to yourself in the process. ❤️

    Annnnnnd, I had no idea what a Moscow mule could be, ha ha. Sounds interesting!

    I'm thankful for being able to sleep for a little bit more than 7 hours last night. And for my loving husband (who drives me crazy sometimes) and for my close and compassionate parents.

    Ahhh, yesssss, sleep definitely is something I'm grateful for too!

    Thank you! I love trying new things especially when it comes to physical activity. I'm currently lifting weights a couple of times a week and have been loving it. I love that sore feeling after a good workout lol!

    I will definitely check out a few videos before taking a class. Thank you for your suggestions!
