I'm working on a few projects. A cardigan, another pullover, and a cross stitch project. I also make necklaces and bookmarks. I'll try to post a few pictures. Just have patience with me, I have to photograph the projects first.

    So wonderful!
I started knitting again last winter - I'm still very much a beginner-beginner - but was able to knit a scarf to send to my mother. The scarf wasn't great, but she loved it and knitting actually helped quite a bit with nervous system regulation.
I haven't been able to focus on doing more of it, but you are inspiring me to consider the possibility to try again :)
Excited to see pics when you have an opportunity. ❤️

I can imagine it is hard to get a photo - they just don't seem to pause for anything, even for a photo op! ha ha.

Oh darn, when you clicked upload file, did nothing pop up? I tried just dragging and dropping one in and it didn't work. Maybe upload file would though?
In any case, so happy you are enjoying the knitting and the visits with the neighbor's pets!

    Today I am thankful for:
    • The resilience of my body
    • My car continuing to get me place to place
    • Kind neighbor I met this morning
    • Memories of my beloved pup
    • My comfortable bed

I tried uploading and it doesn't work. I made the pictures smaller etc. Not working.

Anyway...I have an Etsy store online, it's tiny, just a few items. I don't think I can post here the link (advertisement) but you can type on Google the words: ninilotus store. And you'll find my store. I'm in Prescott AZ.

You'll see a few of my creations: necklaces, mittens, knits. I don't use patterns, I know how to make them myself and I have many ideas.

NewBeginning, knitting is very calming indeed, be careful in the future, you might get addicted. :)

    Later edit:
Here's the link to the store.

Oh my goodness, yes, was able to see your store. Love all of it.
You are so creative. Have you been kinitting/jewelry making for a long time?
    Thanks for sharing. ❤️

I lost one of my Pups this week. Even though he's gone, I am grateful for the time, love and life we shared together. Broken Windows, Torn up sofa's and Laughter.
His sister is still with me. I never would have gotten HER if I hadn't have been totally in love with HIM, so I am also grateful to Him for being such a great Dog that I wanted another one. It hurts, but I wouldn't change anything except lengthening our time together.

I am Grateful for my sons. We were all together at 'the end' so to speak, and for the last 32 years, I have never been alone, no matter how sorry I was feeling for myself. They have become their own men a long time ago and I couldn't have designed or dreamed for better sons

I am Grateful for Dr. Sarno. I never even met him and he saved my life by writing down the truth.... even when it was very uncomfortable and he got no glory. I never would have had all of the fun I have doing activities without worry If I didn't pick up his book.

Grateful to know enough trades to keep myself fed and a roof over our heads.

Grateful that I live in a place where I can be in complete silence in Nature in 10 minutes.

Grateful for guitar and being able to play :To park my insatiable curiosity into something benign and and Beautiful and satisfying

Grateful for the people on this forum so I can have a place to be Honest and not pretend to be who and what other people might be expecting me to be 489966009_18278016856267829_387004900066219314_n.jpg 491448061_18278435272267829_7114776856359132387_n.jpg HUX and SOPH.jpg IMG_3119.jpg

Thanks. Oh yes, I've been doing these things and more (espadrilles, bags, blouses/dresses/pants etc plus embroidery on them, pillows, rugs and other things) since I was 7 yo.

Later edit: Yes, I'm grateful for finding Dr. Sarno's books...Baseball65 is right. Great pictures B65!

    You have permission, @Sita :)

Yes, we do have a firm rule aimed at random people trying to market here (and community members usually DM me first when they have TMS content they want to offer) but there is room for flexibility, especially in an off topic thread devoted to the things that bring us joy - and if seeing the creative endeavors of a long-standing community supporter isn't a thing of joy I don't know what is! Go use that Edit button :D

I am so sorry to hear of your loss, @Baseball65 -
Words can't even express....so hard when they leave us, and yet... yeah, definitely the gratitude for getting to have the experience goes deep! Sounds like he really brought so much to your world (including another dog!) - they have a way of doing that... somehow finding their way into your heart, opening it up, and bringing so much love!
(for me seemingly before I even knew it was happening - it caught me by surprise, never dreamed I'd have such a connection to my little pup - memory of him and that feeling is still so palpable)

How did he/she end up in your life?

Thank you for sharing the pictures and your other gratitude items as well.
    Loved seeing/reading them. ❤️

I’m sorry for your loss @Baseball65. Ugh, dogs are a man’s best friend. Sending you a big hug.

It’s so true what you say. Broken windows, torn up sofas… in the end it doesn’t matter. I’ve long accepted and laugh at the nose prints on the patio slides, hair that happens to still make it through the covers I have on the couch, chewed up slippers. I got one of my older dogs 8 years ago as a pup and I have no clue how 8 years have flown by. I’m also glad to have adopted our newer pup because she has brought life back into him and aged him backwards (they play so much). I cherish all the moments now.

My son was living with me and asked if He could get a Dog.
    I Ok'd it.
He got a Free pup from one of his Teachers
He moved in. I played with him every day when I got home from work. I started staying home to keep him company when my sons were out performing .(the two rock stars in the far right of the band pix)
My son moved out and got his own place.
I became depressed and started asking him to bring Hux over for weekends. It was like a 'custody' arrangement in a divorce.
My son finally said "Hey Dad...y'all really need to get your OWN dog....AND I have the perfect one. Someone adopted Hux's sister and brought her back because they can't "Deal with her" whatever that means"

    now I have Sophie.

....and I can't imagine a world without her.

I feel quite bored today. But I'm grateful that I even get to feel bored.

Some other things I'm grateful for today:
    • Delicious latte my husband made me this morning
    • Recently my mom was vulnerable with me and I'm grateful I was able to see things from her perspective and develop our relationship a bit deeper
    • Getting to do my skincare ritual/massage every morning; it feels good
Hope everyone has a great day.
