YES! That in and of itself is so powerful.
I was just thinking earlier that last year at this time I really didn't see how it could be possible that I would be, but here I am. And things in many ways are much better than they were then, even though some of the symptoms are more persistent than I ever dreamed they would be.
Here we are. Alive. Courageous and resilient!

Welllll, it's already happening, @Sita .... ha ha.
Last night as I was getting ready for bed, I thought, "Oh, I'll just do one more row before I shower."
Then I finished that one... and had to stop myself after two more. hee hee.
I'm literally just doing knit stitch for this... no specific pattern and it's quite freeing, calming, and meditative.
    Good stuff.

    Today I am thankful for:
    • Oatmeal with salt and tahini (sounds odd but literally the creamiest yummiest first meal of the day)
    • Being able to do some work with others today - was great to feel in the flow a bit
    • Moments of mindfulness and awareness
    • Amazing capabilities of the body and all the cells/organs working so hard! (just watched this short video agin that I saw years ago - The Inner Life of the Cell Animation - doing so much work)
    • Learning new things / Reading fascinating research studies

    Today I am thankful for:
    • A huge pink moon in the sky
    • In dance today the music of the coreography we are rehearsing is just sooo beautiful
    • I hung my duvet and pillows from the window everyday it doesn't rain to air them. Today i hung them in the morning, left the house and then the weather showed a prediction of rain. I was worried i would arrive home at night to a wet duvet and pillows. But it didn't rain!! so i am feeling super grateful for a dry, fresh duvet :)

What kind of dance do you do? Occasionally I think how fun it would be to explore dance more - but alas somewhere along the line when I was a kid, I was told I have no coordination when it comes to dance..and well, must have become a self-perpetuating prophecy sadly.

I do ballet and contemporary. Started ballet as a child but couldn’t continue because of chaotic family dynamics. I went back to it 2 years ago. I find it very meditative, I appreciate the structure and the strength and flexibility it gives me. In contemporary it’s more about emotions, breathing, lots of floor work. so I think they compliment each other very well.

I am angry at the person who said that you have no coordination. Dance is about self expression and in my opinion we are all born with it. Yes, some people have more musicality, but it is a skill that can be improved so much through practice. Also, in the classes everybody is so focused on their own progress that no one will be looking at your mistakes

I can confidently say that returning to dance helped more with my mental and physical health than antidepressants or other medicines which I don’t take anymore. It allows the body to express what words can’t tell. If you are curious I think there’s no harm in trying some beginner lessons in the styles that you like

@NewBeginning - I eat oatmeal that is 50% riced cauliflower and a little bit of chickpea flour - so I don't think tahini is odd at all!

I was very grateful I could take it easy today after feeling more symptoms yesterday
Grateful to be mostly retired (when I want to be, and work when I want to work!)
Having a friend who is like a brother for a week
    SUNSHINE!

    I’m grateful for:

    • This new phone math app. (It’s challenging!) I’ve never been good at math, but this is fun!
    • Raspberries, blueberries, strawberries all in season. I love them!
    • A little fawn was deposited by its mother behind our house for a whole day. It curled up and slept. Its mother went out grazing and picked him up after dark. (Evidently, they do this.) He was SO cute!!!

AWWWW - love this! I have heard people mention this before about the mums dropping them off in safe places so not to worry about them, the mum will come back to pick them up. A lot of people want to rescue them when they see them alone, but have always been advised not to disturb them.
And, how wonderful that the mother picked your yard as a safe place for her baby and that the fawn felt secure enough there to curl up and sleep!

Okay, now I know what I will be trying for my first meal of the day tomorrow! ha ha. I have some riced cauliflower and that sounds like a perfect mixture!
I have also mixed quinoa flakes (which I love as well) with it. Oatmeal is so much more versatile than I think I ever realized! I've mixed it with so many things (I don't really like rice at all, so it takes the place of it for a grain).
Thanks for the idea for a new concoction that I can experiment with!

That's so awesome, @HappyCabbage! I am so happy you have returned to something that brings you so much wellness.
This thread is reminding me of all the things I am eager to explore again!
Started knitting again from this and exploring some gardening aspects and now looking up some short dance videos to try!
I also just remembered I used to love doing some dance type things on my rebounder (it's like a mini trampoline) to awesome music, so will get that back out to start! Thanks!

    Today I am thankful for:
    • Feeling excited about some different activities I want to explore - including a course on Quantum Mechanics that I just found out is being offered again
    • Libraries - just so many awesome things about them!
    • All of the PEOPLE and systems that are involved just to get something "simple" like the bowl of oatmeal to my table right now (from the field, to the processing, to the packaging, to the shipping, to the distribution, to the store, to the shelf, to the check-out, to electricity to boil the water, to the making of the utensils to cook and eat it with.... and everything in between and beyond - seemingly infinite people involved and things that needed to happen for it to get here and be able to nourish me!)
    • Soft fabrics
    • The sweet little dog who I got to visit with last night on my walk and another one who I see on the trail often in the mornings and who usually just walks on by but today stopped, wagged his tail and invited me to pet him. So wonderful!

Oh myyyy, @Sita - I stayed in Scottsdale for a couple years and having lived previously only in winter climates, the first summer was so glorious and despite 100+ temps, I felt like I was just drinking it in!! Thennnnnn, the following summer very quickly realized how very very thankful for air conditioning I was too!
    Stay cool.

Today I was incredibly grateful and in awe for the gorgeous Jacaranda trees that drop their spent blossoms this time of year creating a "purple rain" on the sidewalks. Makes even the grungiest alley beautiful.
