    Today I am thankful for:
    • My computer
    • Developing a little more flexibility with my rules and regimens for myself
    • Brain always adapting and the ability to form new pathways
    • Comfortable shoes (20 years ago I would have laughed if you told me how much comfortable shoes would play a role in my life!)
    • Cooler temps

Love the new sweaters in your shop, @Sita! Particularly the one with the pop of color on the shoulder. So awesome and clearly made with detail and care.
    You are so creative.
And, I love that you can do the knitting outside in nature.
    Enjoy the day!

Everything looks nice but I love the sweater in the profile picture, the one with a cable design in turquoisey colours. ❤️

This weekend I am thankful for friends. BBQ with a large group yesterday, ladies luncheon (and drink-a-thon) today!
    For a gorgeous sunny day
For a blouse my friend made me that has cats, books, records and plants. All my things.

I gifted it to an ashram/monastery for monks. I e-mailed them and I asked if they would receive as a gift a few hand knitted sweaters for men, different sizes and different models/colors. And they said "Yes!" so I sent them by mail a box with 8 sweaters. This was in 2020, yes...that crazy year. I knitted a lot that year... it calms me and relaxes me to knit.

So a monk is now wearing that sweater when it's cold. After I sent the package, my dad said:"I liked that one, the turquoise sweater!" But it was too late...

So awesome. It's amazing to think about all the places your creative energy is able to travel through what you make!

    That's just so lovely!
I have a thing for Buddhism & Buddhist monks. When I'm in Thailand, I wake uo at around 6 am to give alms to the monks & get their blessings. It's' a wonderful sight to see them saffron clad in their robes while ppl eagerly wait to present them with rice, food, candles, water, oil, incense & various toiletries.

Yes, it's nice. It makes you feel good and at peace. God helps God. God in you helps God in them and God in them helps God in you as well.

    Today I am thankful for:
    • Seeing all the stars in the sky last night and contemplating the infinite nature of it all
    • My toenails actually growing back! (symbolic that healing is possible in all of the different ways)
    • My freezer preserving these delicious veggies for future use
    • Restorative, regenerative power of sleep
    • Roses, roses, roses everywhere!

    Today I’m thankful for:
    • Air conditioning! It’s a heat index of 105 F in the DC area for the next couple days.
    • Feeling less pain, stiffness and general freakiness as I stubbornly do the dishes every night.
    • This novel I’m working on. I have 60 pages so far, and it’s writing itself (maybe because I’m not judging it?!) It’s very fun for me.
    • Ice cream
    • @NewBeginning for starting this thread. It has been a great thing! We’ve all learned so much more about each other. :)

I'm thankful for not completely loosing my (where is the steaming pile emoji!) :muted: on my neighbor, however expressing my frustration and letting her know my boundaries. I have a few with her.
That my dear cat is finally recovering without any more trauma after being mauled by a stray cat (this is related to the above comment).
For my hobbies and being creative
    For music. Always for music!

I'm grateful for the pain. It helped me let go and surrender. Apparently there is a lot more surrendering to be done. And then even more. And more and much more.

Ey yi yi - that's HOT, but so happy you are getting some cooling.... both from the AC and the yummy ice cream!!
And, love love love that you are having fun with the writing --- if and when you feel like sharing more about what you are writing or your process, I'm sure we'd all enjoy hearing about it. "Write" on!
Hope you have a wonderful day!

    Today I am thankful for:
    • A spontaneous long conversation with my brother who I rarely ever talk to, but always nice to connect
    • Finding a fun site to possibly play board games virtually with others
    • The amazing power of getting up at dawn these past two months
    • The subtle, gradual shifts in my perception of myself
    • The motivation, excitement, and inspiration to try a new experiment for July

I'm grateful for inspiring poems. Like this one:

    The Paradoxical Commandments
    By Dr. Kent M. Keith

"People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
    Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
    Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
    Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
    Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
    Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas
can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
    Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
    Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
    Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway."

    Today I am thankful for:
    • Rediscovering skills and re-familiarizing myself with a graphic design program + looking through all of the amazing things people have created
    • My makeshift desk that allows me to change perspective while I work
    • Hearing the great test results my mother just received
    • Feeling a sense of resourcefulness for the first time in a long time
    • The amazing area where I live - fun to think about all of the things that had to happen for me to find myself here!
