Hello all!

On the back of conversations in this thread around kickstarting the day with an injection of positivity, I started visually compiling some bumper sticker style mantras/affirmations I look at first thing in the morning. I have found them so effective that I carry the notebook with me throughout the day, looking at them when I need to. (See below)

The ones I find most useful on a day to day basis are:

- 'Trust that everything will work out in the end'
- 'Don't miss out on today by worrying about tomorrrow'
- 'Be the sea, not the debris' - Thanks @BloodMoon for that one! : )

I would love to build out more mantras/daily affirmations like this that help with self-compassion, patience, self-love, gratitude.. basically all of the things when lacking can lead to TMS symptoms.

So I would love if we could maybe compile a list of affirmations I could visually build out, and when they are compiled what I could do is turn these into both a downloadable pdf, and a little collection of affirmation cards people could order so as to have a physical version.

I know there are no shortage of affirmation card collections out there, but ones tailored specifically to TMS would be great to have and would be something I'd love to work on in the evenings.

Looking forward to hearing your throughts, and affirmations! : )

Fabulous, Emily! :)

I love the colours and little drawings. I love a visual cue. So encouraging!

My suggestions (I think I've gone a bit overboard with them , so no offence taken if you don't use many, or even any of them!):

Today, "I get to ___ " (mentally fill in the blank)
Don't complain, just talk to your brain!
Don't delay, do things today!
I am well
I choose peace, kindness, and patience toward myself.
Recovery happens when I stop treating symptoms as an enemy.
Don't engage, turn a page and get on with your life
Resume all normal activity
I am safe, and any symptoms are my mind’s signal, not my body’s injury.
Perfection isn't required
I acknowledge my symptoms, but they do not define me.
My mind is calm, and my body will follow.
My symptoms are just mind/body/TMS; I can overcome them completely.
I am in touch with my emotions
I choose love and kindness towards myself
I intend to be in control, not my subconscious mind
Just observe your thoughts and let them go
Peace is within me
All the cells in my body are peaceful and tranquil
Symptoms are just temporary sensations
Visualise a good day ahead
It's going to be good day
Go to your special calm and soothing place in your mind
I release worry and embrace calm
There is nothing to fear
Physical activity is not dangerous
Physical activity is safe
Motion is lotion
I am breathing in, I am breathing out
This too shall pass
Symptoms are only temporary; the future is bright
I am safe in this moment
Every breath renews me
All is well
Relax... ahhhhh
Peace... ahhhhh
Calm... ahhhhh
I breathe in peace, I breathe out worry
I welcome calm and let go of tension
We become what we imagine

Woweee @BloodMoon .... this is what I was hoping for!! tiphata

There are loads there I can get cracking on.. some I might edit a wee bit!

A very big thanks to you, and keep them coming if you think of any more!

A few more...

Roses over rush
Slow it all down
I am serenity
Past’s gone—move on
Feel it, heal it
Ease up on yourself
Enough as I am
Calm roots, steady mind
Feel, Heal, Repeat
'No' is a quiet strength
Tenderness begins within
Each breath mends what words cannot

I think I'm probably all mantra-ed out now, lol... But if I do think of any others, I'll back! :)
