Is it ok to exercise the muscles even it's with spasm?

My neck (especially my trapezius) doesn't hurt anymore as it used to but it's still tight and gets spasms sometimes. I wonder if it's ok to exercise it even if it's having episodes? Thanks

    Stretching helps! Is it counterproductive?

Thanks guys! That's what I'm trying to do, practicing some stretches to improve my well-being but also keeping in mind the ways in battling TMS. I don't think I'm capable of strenuous exercises just yet but I'm kinda of preparing myself by doing this. I know it helps but I don't rely solely to...

    Stretching helps! Is it counterproductive?

This is just based on my experience. I know that one shouldn't treat TMS physically but I admit I can't help but do massages and trigger point therapy on myself sometimes but through it all, I always believed my symptoms are TMS. It gives me some relief and somehow helps in lessening the trigger...

    Is there restrictions with exercise?

@Walt Oleksy, thanks for the advice. @Baseball65 that's good to know, thanks. I'm planning to use some weights in exercising my shoulders and upper back. I hardly do any exercise since my hip and neck pain and I'm kinda fed up with that and just want to challenge my TMS all the more.

Don't be so hard on yourself!

Hi just wanna share this song that is aptly named as "Don't be so Hard on Yourself" by Jess Glynne. It's just empowering and I feel like I can conquer everything everytime I hear this. Hope you'd feel the same! She also has other good songs. Cheers!

Is it ok to induce anxiety?

I just had this thought that there are times before when I think of an anxiety-inducing situation or place, I will feel defeated, scared and feel like I cannot do it if I were to engage in that situation or place. But now I'm trying to change my response to it and follow Dr. Claire Weekes...

    IBS, how to overcome?

thanks everyone! I'm applying everything you suggested and I think I'm getting better control of my fearful thoughts. I also liked the idea of using the concept of mindfulness and meditation with deep breathing! Cannot wait to be out and about again without worrying thoughts. Really thanks for...

    IBS, how to overcome?

Hi guys I'm just new here but I've known about TMS a year ago. I believe I've had TMS ever since I was a kid cause I get sudden leg pains and fever. About 5 years ago or so I developed left neck and lower back pain, vertigo, IBS during my stressful time at work and last year I had neck spasms...
