Is it ok to induce anxiety?

    I just had this thought that there are times before when I think of an anxiety-inducing situation or place, I will feel defeated, scared and feel like I cannot do it if I were to engage in that situation or place. But now I'm trying to change my response to it and follow Dr. Claire Weekes advice. I try to feel nonchalant about it, to accept the feeling and sensation I get while I'm visualizing it. I wonder if by doing so, I'll gradually make myself accustomed to the anxiety and I wouldn't have as much fear when I'm really into that situation/place?
