    Hi everyone!

In my quest to lower my stress level and to soothe my hypersensitive nervous system, I’ve been deliberately reading only very upbeat gentle books. I recently read two very good ones. I highly recommend these feel-good and well-written books.

One is a Christmas story, but it doesn’t have religious themes. It only mentions good will and the “magic” of Christmas. It has fantastically good messages about hope, love and forgiveness. Christmas Town https://a.co/d/huRlz07 (Amazon.com)

This is also a great story about community spirit, dogs and love. It does have angels, but no mention of religion. It’s a Wonderful Dog, a Christmas Tail https://a.co/d/2IDQThT (Amazon.com)

Hope these can brighten your life, if you need a happy read. :)

Great idea here - I don’t think we always think about lightening up a bit with something fun. I recently read about, on this site, the suggestion of laughing more. Then I saw this post lol. Thank you for sharing this!!!!

I stay away from anything sad, disgusting, violent, vulgar, loud etc. It can be books, music, movies, forums, people etc. Also I limit the time that I spend online. In the afternoon, after 4 or 5 pm, I only listen to music, work on my hobbies, read, exercise, do the dishes, etc. Lucky me I don't have a cell-phone addiction, I only use it to talk on it for emergencies.

It's a good idea to stay away from anything unpleasant as much as possible.

Me too. I won't hardly look at anything that doesn't have at least of 4.6 rating (yeah, I know that's kind of silly:)). Unless of course, it's a book about a specific topic I'm interested in.
