Why people get so angry when I mention TMS?

It's been mostly positive. My friends got it with a very open mind. My mother supports it. My PT and I talk about it a lot.

The people I feel won't get it I just shut up and if asked tell I've been progressing a lot.

My friends from Brazil reacted positively too, but they don't seem to change, meaning they didn't do the researches I told them to do haha

Technically, FNDs and conversion disorders used to be in the realm of mainstream medicine, but by the mid 20th century, with the rise of the pharmaceutical industry and the pharmaceutical revolution, most of these diagnoses disappeared from mainstream medical discourse. The medical industry nowadays has a strong tendency to not promote treatments that actually work and deal with the root of the issue, they prescribe Big Pharma drugs that act as a bandaid for issues or do not work at all, and say you’ll ‘need’ them for the rest of your life. There is nothing the pharmaceutical industry loves more than lifetime drug prescriptions, and then they can market medications to be prescribed to deal with side effects of the original medication. If the medical industry actually cured people of disease, they wouldn’t be an industry anymore. A patient cured is a customer lost, and that same sentiment also applies to the alternative medicine industry (which is closely related to mainstream medicine in a variety of ways, despite claiming not to be) as well. Profit rules over everything else.
