I wanted to post the following the other day, but time/energy didn't allow...
Back in college days, a book on our reading list was How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. I didn't read it then because the title sounded manipulative.
But, some 10+ years later I read it...because I wanted to be my own best friend. 
I enjoyed the book, mainly because of all the different peoples' stories he shares. Inspiring and uplifting.
