    Hi,

I just joined and posted a few questions about small fiber neuropathy. So you are saying even if your biopsy results show severe damage, it could still be TMS? The damage was caused by inflammation from MCAS. This is the one thing stopping me from believing this is my issue. Do you think it’s worth it to get a repeat biopsy to compare, as it has progressed to my whole body now? Thank you

    Hi @ficus,

Yes I had a positive result because it's just a false positive. Peripheral neuropathy is a meaningless symptom in the absence of a pathology (diabetes for ex.). MCAS and long covid are just made up labels slapped on to symptoms of anxiety (in the form of tms). Somatic anxiety mimics a medical issue , but the symptoms are harmless and not indicative of any "damage". Whether the symptoms are nerve pain, seizures, itching, burning etc etc etc., the question is, "what is the etiology?".

Thank you for posting that…it gives a lot of hope to those of us with these horrible issues going on. It’s hard for me to believe it in my own case because of the progress of symptoms and how they are consistently in the same spots (until they spread), but I am going to keep working on it. The other thing is my 10 year old also has
MCAS and that makes it hard for me to believe as well-any thoughts on this? Thanks so much

I also forgot to add I am looking into hidden mold, but I knows lot of people get better with brain retraining despite these things.

The first thing you need to do is stop going to all functional quacks. That entire alternative industry is a scam. Their labs are bogus, and their "treatments" are expensive placebos at best. Labels make things seem real and permanent, when the truth is they are artificial constructs for the purpose of profit or billing insurance. MCAS, chronic Lyme, Mold toxicity, mercury toxicity, multiple chemical sensitivity, candida, Epstein bar, inflammation etc etc etc are allllll buzzwords these charlatans use to fear monger and exploit anxious people. I've mentioned this before, but my father was an allergist for 40 years and he said in all his life he never heard of such a thing. It's a garbage diagnosis. Not real. People get better form all of these symptoms because it's all functional anxiety. Once they "treat" it as a psychological issue, and not some kind of medical pathology, the symptoms cease to have a purpose and thus they cease to exist. We live in a terrible timeline of social media propaganda. It's an epidemic of fear.

That’s the first time I’ve heard that about mold, so thank you for that perspective. That’s interesting about your dad as well. Yes, social media propaganda is definitely out of control for sure. So many of us desperate to get better and failed by conventional medicine are turning to alternatives with no real evidence behind it.

Yes, these industries KNOW that the conventional medical model has nothing to offer, so they exploit desperation to the hilt with their unproven nonsense. There is an entire industry revolving around autism for ex. It's all quite predatory.
