@oneperson: Great post! I am struggling with journaling at the moment. But what you say about it echoes what is in David Hanscom's "Back in Control" book, which I have been re-reading. In fact journaling is the number one thing he recommends for people to get themselves whole and help settle their nervous system, or at least it helped him and many others it seems. So it's great to hear how it has helped you, and "thinking like a well person". Best regards.
Hey again @hawaii_five0 ...
I was just reading through this thread again and realized I never responded to your post, though I had wanted to before.
Apparently I couldn't at that moment...and then my brain forgot.
I had wanted to say, "Thank you!" for the info about David Hanscom's book and about his comments on journaling. And for your kinds words.
Journaling definitely resonated (and resonates) with me. I actually wrote my way out of a cult/what had become a toxic belief system for me. So interesting to look back on. Nothing magical; yet, I find it fascinating(?)...along with the whole field of how our bodies and minds interact and weave our stories and how that extends into our communities and the richness of life.
I'm started to meander and babble...but I have other things I want to do. Lol
Thanks again and apologies on my delayed response...
~Carol
PS edit: How's it going with you now? If you feel like sharing. You had stated you were struggling at the moment in your post.
