I know I deal with TMS, PDP, Percieved danger pain as Dan Buglio, Pain Free You, (He has a book now) calls it. I am much improved in many ways in the last 3 years or so, thank God!
When I have a symptom, I stay calm and tell myself I am not broken, take a deep breath, relax my body, say I’m good, engage in life, feel my feelings, identify my feelings…. I could list many… different symptom even since childhood. I regret having spent so much money and time on my health. Glad I know better now!
The one symptom that is not budging is the all over, everywhere body itching. I get no rash. I have learned to carry on with life 95% of the time. Sometimes I can’t sleep. It does get worse when I am anxious but is always present. I try not to pay attention to it. I do not itch myself raw but if bad I will itch it even without thinking about it. I believe I have had this for 20 years. Earlier went to 13 different doctors trying to get help. Nothing helped.
As I think about it I can identify different itches: bottom of feet with my first pregnancy, private itching after my period or after I ate a lot of sugar, my back on a hike, when a cat or dog touch me, all over when I moved to AZ 30 years ago.
I get legitimate misquito bits that itch maybe even hurt, swell, reden. I hate them, if I don’t touch them they usually stop after a time. I use repellent but all day inside, outside it get hard.
it is hard to picture myself doing better and not
itching. Symatic tracking is very hard for when I give it attention it gets worse. I will keep up the work teaching my brain I am safe.
Anyone else succeed with itching?
