Hi all,
My name is George, I'm 17 years old and I have been suffering with 'chronic epididymal and groin pain'. It all started out with what I also believe was a initial infection (non-STI) the antibiotics removed the pain after a few days of starting treatment. However I didn't finish the treatment due to a blow up of pain and muscle twitches all over my body (I thought it was the tablets- side effects). But this was more likely mental trauma of the pain that stared off the pain TMS cycle that I still have to this day. The groin pain went away for a while but soon came back- I was fearing its return as the mental trauma was unreal... And it did...
Now it's a constant discomfort and pain that doesn't really go away. The only time is does is when I'm sleeping at night (which is odd because pain usually keeps you up). My pain changes from a burning to an aching feeling you get in your abdomen before you ejaculate? But reversed in a negative sensational feeling.
I have been to several doctors and had ultrasounds, tons of urine tests and physical exams and they can't really find anything wrong besides epididymal cysts whitch they dismissed. The pain is in my right testicle and I really struggle to believe this is TMS as it hangs so much lower than my left (swelling). I have finally came across Sarno and this theory and am beginning to accept what it is...I have read Sarno and I totally understand how this works. I fit the personality for TMS also. Infact I've had problems with TMJ too.. Also 'esptein-Barr syndroyme' (an illness like glandukar fever that lasted for months- yet no infection was found) this happened at a stressful time also.
I have read that all this pain and swelling can be caused by muscle tension in the pelvis, which I am also beggining to accept. I have a hyper excitable nervous system now and suffer with constant muscle twitches... And get tingling too. I've had this for ages and has been proven to be nothing serious..
I need your help and Reassurance that this is what it is. I've had this pain for almost a year now...! If this is TMS I really need to be properly convinced. I am trying so hard to believe.
Please get back to me,
George
