    Day 15 Pain moving around

Has the pain been moving around? Oh, yeah! Right butt and leg pain have at times moved into my left hip, my middle back, and my right shoulder. I even had my knee almost give out on me on the stairs. It was crazy. And all of this just comes and goes....amazing. This does help me to accept...

Day 8 Emotions connected to pain

Thank you, Walt. I don't feel like I've been dwelling on the feelings, but I have been feeling them as I journal. Once I'm done journaling, I'm able to move on. The reminder that if there's still pain, there are more emotions to discover is really helpful. I'll keep at it!

Day 8 Emotions connected to pain

The question to ponder asked if I'm recognizing the emotions connected to my pain. Yes and no. I'm recognizing a LOT of emotions in the journaling. I've also, on a few occasions, been able to recognize emotions "in the moment" throughout the day (mostly feeling frustrated and angry with my...

Day 4 Words from my PT

Today's question to ponder was, "what is the most disheartening thing a doctor has said to you?" Well, it's not so much disheartening but definitely causing me some trouble as I try to resume more normal activities. My PT told me that if something causes any pain at all in my butt or leg, not to...

Day 1 Back pain and sciatica

Hi all. My back pain journey started 5 years ago, when my first child was 10 months old, at which time my back "went out" for the first time. It resolved within a week. 2 years later, I had a second baby, a new (old) house that my husband and I were working on, and my second episode of back...
