The Presence Process - Share Experiences & Ask Questions

Thanks Brian for your reply. I’d like to know how can you get issues resolved if you can’t stayed focussed? Isn’t presence a prerequisite to that? I’m having a hard time understanding how this works.

The Presence Process - Share Experiences & Ask Questions

I just started my 5th day of the 1st week. I’m doing the breathing techniques as described but my mind keeps wondering as I’m doing it. Is this normal? It’s frustrating doing a practice to stay present and my mind goes where it wants.

The Presence Process - Share Experiences & Ask Questions

Single Dad here with TMS. I’ve got 2 kids. I know how you feel. My advice is throw away muscle relaxants and cigarettes (and booze if you do that also) it’s all a mask. Start intense exercise. My pain is slowly fading after almost 5 years since starting the above advice 18 months ago. Start...

My example of how to stop TMS pain

I had a very similar situation as you on Thursday. I have similar symptoms as you (gluteal pain and foot) with no identifiable structural cause. I’m conditioned to have pain while I sit. I was on a 5 hour flight on Thursday and I decided to say F it, let the pain do what it wants. I didn’t...

    Success Story? Maybe

Thank you for that post. I listened to the audio version of the Power of Now again a few days ago and it’s message is true. Although I still struggle with TMS I am healing, it’s just taking a long time....

From Spondylolisthesis to Competitive Ice Hockey

I really related to this post. My conditioned response is sitting, not standing. Thanks for your advice.

    Intense Exercise

Thanks Jan but I wouldn’t call my case a success yet, my day will come but just not today....

    Intense Exercise

I’ve suffered from TMS for almost 5 years. After 3.5 years of intense buttock, leg and foot pain (which sometimes switches sides) I discovered TMS and I’ve been working through it, gradually progressing with ups and downs. I went through 4 surgeries and all the meds on the planet which did...

    Antidepressants

I was on every anti depressant imaginable to treat chronic pain. Nothing helped. Once I got off ALL meds (even ibuprofen), supplements and threw out all the pain relief devices (car seats, braces, orthotics, etc.) I got my life back. I’m not pain free yet for sure. I still have more work to...

    Stuck in a rut

I have classic TMS symptoms, sciatica that switches sides, foot pain that moves around foot and tingling toes. Been MRI’d up and down with nothing showing at all. I fit the psychological profile to a T! I’ve been working with a TMS therapist weekly and continue to read all of the books. I’ve...

    Pain medication

I was given oxy’s too. I took them on and off for over a year when the pain got bad. I started TMS Therapy August 1st this year and I quit ALL meds, even over the counter. My improvement has been slow, with ups and downs but overall I’m improving. Quitting medications was HUGE for me...

    Spreading advice

It’s hard to tell difference. It very well could also be part of my TMS but something tells me this type of pain is not psychological. I don’t really have a good answer.
