Number of years in practice: 14 years, amongst which 5.5 years treating TMS patients

Number of patients you have seen who have had TMS: 400+

What is your association to the TMS community? I am listed on the PPDA website's practitioners' list. Also on Dr. Schechter's website. I have joined the TMS/PPD group led by Georgie Oldfield, and have just recently been added to the TMS Therapists Roundtable. I am also a member in a few Facebook groups dedicated to TMS

Have you ever suffered from TMS? If so, how did you recover? Yes I have, which is what brought me to offer thereafter help to other TMS sufferers. I have suffered from back pain with radiating left leg pain for 10 months straight, and after trying everything, I got to Dr. Sarno's book Healing Back Pain, and through reading it recovered completely within 4 weeks' time.

What insurance plans do you currently accept? All private insurances (I practice in Germany and Israel)

Do you have a sliding scale of payment for people who are not covered by insurance? Yes, I give discounts for people who need it, and help in whatever way I can

Are you able to conduct sessions over the phone and/or via internet video services (i.e. Skype or FaceTime)? Yes, through Skype and Zoom Video calls

What have you done to educate yourself about TMS, and what plans do you have for further education about TMS? I read Dr. Sarno's "Healing Back Pain" and "The Divided Mind" and watched Dr. Sarno's lecture. Also read Dr. Sophers' book "To Be or Not To Be...Pain Free". I have published a book in the Hebrew language (to be translated to German during 2020) about TMS, which was based on my personal knowledge and experience in healing, as well as experience in treating 400 TMS patients. For the preparation of the book I have read 150 medical and scientific articles about pain, watched a few dozen professional lectures, and researched textbooks thoroughly.

What mind-body books do you recommend to your patients? In particular, do you recommend Dr. Sarno's books? I recommend Dr. Sarno's Healing Back Pain and The Divided Mind, and the one book of Sarno's that was translated to Hebrew, it is a translation of "Mind Over Back Pain". And of course I recommend reading my book that is based on Sarno's work and supported by many scientific resources. The book is in the Hebrew language and is highly accessible for people in Israel (If needed, here is a link to the book: https://www.focus.co.il/pl_product~239-619~15~0.htm)

Tell us about yourself:
I am a medical doctor since 2006, and practicing both in Berlin, Germany where my main clinic is located, as well as in Israel. After suffering myself from TMS and healing through Dr. Sarno's work, I have shifted the focus of my work with patients to be based mostly on Mind-Body principles. I also base treatments on natural ways of healing, combining nutrition, supplements, herbs and lifestyle changes to optimize health and reverse disease processes.

Additional Questions for Physicians

What services do you provide your patients after diagnosis?
After diagnosis of TMS, I offer my patients a thorough recovery program, based on extensive knowledge and techniques to implement on a daily basis. The program is based on video and text lessons, as well as audio guided practices and meditations, and it is 2 month long. I am available for my patients via email correspondence, a free call-in hour, and follow-up consultations to support and boost the healing process. I have also built a continuing program, for patients who need a longer recovery process, and provide continuous support and guidance. I have also opened a patients' forum, where people can share with others their process, and offer support to each other (this is optional).
