Exercise: Do an activity that you enjoy but typically avoid due to your pain. Instead of focusing on the pain, or lack thereof, before, during, and after the exercise, focus on how proud you feel for having done the activity. Shifting your focus to not care about the pain outcome is difficult. Reading other’s experiences with outcome independence on the subforum can help keep you on track.
