Eric "Herbie" Watson
Beloved Grand Eagle
Eric:
Your story continues to inspire me! I've recently learned that I'll have to find a new position in my company in six months. I love the job I have and my mind started to worry about things such as losing my job, what can I do now that I have this TMS and get pain under stress. Then I reversed those thoughts and asked myself. What is this fear? Is it real or imagine? How do I reverse this thinking as I know my brain is lying to me. Then I started to ask - well what do you want to do? What will you love? I've longed for a career of service, and giving back to those less fortunate.
Learning to catch the fear and get to it's source is so important. I am overjoyed that I can turn these thoughts around. I still have a lot of work to do, but I am excited what this new way of living will have in store for my life.
Recovery has been a roller coaster, however, as you said in an earlier post, there gets to be a string of really good days that are symptom free, (I had 5), then a few with symptoms.
Good points - Forest.
