this is how i worked it

Eric:

Your story continues to inspire me! I've recently learned that I'll have to find a new position in my company in six months. I love the job I have and my mind started to worry about things such as losing my job, what can I do now that I have this TMS and get pain under stress. Then I reversed those thoughts and asked myself. What is this fear? Is it real or imagine? How do I reverse this thinking as I know my brain is lying to me. Then I started to ask - well what do you want to do? What will you love? I've longed for a career of service, and giving back to those less fortunate.

Learning to catch the fear and get to it's source is so important. I am overjoyed that I can turn these thoughts around. I still have a lot of work to do, but I am excited what this new way of living will have in store for my life.

Recovery has been a roller coaster, however, as you said in an earlier post, there gets to be a string of really good days that are symptom free, (I had 5), then a few with symptoms.

Good points - Forest.

Hi Walt - hope you are doing well

Susan

explorer havent heard from you in a while-how r u doing
wishing you all well on the holiday of christmas, susan walt, forest, jilly-god bless you all

Eric:

I am doing great! Thanks for asking. Had trouble with the wiki.

I am 95% symptom free, but even better I have a new outlook on life. As you said initially I have some set backs mainly caused by fear of getting the symptoms back again. Or worry about getting depression etc.

I feel very blessed to have had this experience, even though it was really hard. I am so thankful for this wiki and the support that grew from it.

I hope to have a success story to add before too long. I am looking into doing a mini-triathelon. :D

Happy Holidays!
Susan

Hi all of you. I'm 90 percent pain free or better.
Now just the lower back pain off and on, and I keep telling my subcon it's
from TMS and not structural. It listens most of the time.

Just wish I could get to sleep faster. Usually no pain, just a very active mind
or worry about this and that. I'm in a very large boat, with you folks as help and inspiration.

Hope you all have a joyful Christmas.
