sometimes it's not TMS

For months I was feeling terrible, headaches, massive fatigue, feeling worse after I ate, kidney pain, etc.

Ordered my own bloodwork online, found I had hypercalcemia.

This was caused by vitamin D supplements and eating a lot of potatoes (sounds weird, I know, but it happened once before years ago). Nightshades in general do it. There was a thread where a user named AnonymousNick mocked the idea of nightshades creating problems.

I can tell you, at least in my case, they do. I have before and after and during blood tests. I eat nightshades, I get hypercalcemia (ionized and serum). I avoid them, it goes away.

I believe the science is something like this: nightshades contain calcitriol which is like a powerful version of vitamin D. Consuming it in excess can cause the body to release too much calcium into the blood. Basically, it's like I was overdosing on D even when I was taking smaller amounts. Anyway, sometimes it's not TMS.

You’re right. Not everything is TMS. But, a lot of things are, even or maybe especially, when the symptoms are weird.

I’m glad you figured out what was causing your problem and were able to correct it.
