Mouth taste

I have been experiencing a strange taste in my mouth that comes and goes for the past 4 months. Bitter or metallic I guess.Been to my dentist and she said that nothing was wrong teeth wise. It is very annoying since even the water I drink tastes bad.
Has anyone ever experienced something like that and if so, was it connected to tms?

I imagine this is similar to phantom smells which I’ve experienced. I paid no mind to them and they went away. Sometimes things misfire in the brain.

I think the clue here is that it comes and goes.

I get it sometimes, just not enough to bother me. Given the sporadic nature, I would be comfortable putting it down to TMS (although it doesn't bother me enough to warrant investigation).
