Beloved Grand Eagle
Hi All,

For those who are new to the world of meditation, this is a great interview with Ed and Deb Shapiro.

I would highly recommend watching it as it explains some useful questions, which I struggled with at the beginning e.g how do I know if i am meditating correctly etc.

All the best

Mike

Hi, Mike. Sorry I didn't reply to this earlier.
The Shapiros offer some very helpful suggestions about meditation
in what they call a "spirituality bootcamp."

I have trouble with an over busy mind. It interferes with my meditation.
Others have posted about it in the subforums.

This video talk helps me control my "drunken monkey" mind.

I will try saying the "omm" to space out my thoughts.

Mindfulness meditation is so important and helpful in TMS healing.

Finding ways to quiet our mind so we can meditate better. It's not easy, but it an be done.

Maybe no one has replied to your post because they are having trouble meditating.
Then they can do themselves a big favor by listening to the Shapiro about
making friends with your mind.

They say there are many ways to meditate, no right or wrong way to meditate.
Everyone finds their own way to meditate.

The important thing is, to keep trying to calm your monkey mind so you can meditate successfully.

Don't expect to get immediate results from meditation. Just do it and it gradually works.

Take a moment to be still so your mind helps you to meditate.
You're in change of your mind. Your mind is not in charge of you.

The talk takes us all through how to meditate. Everyone should give it a listen.
