IBS? Please help me, I am so scared and desperate.

It's been a while since I last posted. I last posted about how I healed and everything was great and recently my life and health has been thrown into upheaval.

Right now I am experiencing something called tenesmus. For the past 24 hours I've been constipated and have waves of HORRIBLE cramping and urgency all day. And when I try to pass a bowel movement, nothing is there. (Well, there is something there, but it's up higher in the bowel, and not ready to come out). It's driving me stark raving mad and it is so, so, so painful. Nothing relieves the pain of the cramping. I don't think I got more than an hour of sleep last night bc the cramping happened all night. Sitting in a warm/hot bath temporarily relieved the pain but that stopped working too.

Upon a google search it seems its related to IBS. I just took a gentle laxative to hopefully move things along, but F&#*!!! I feel so helpless like a child. Im so scared.
 
Hey savasana - sorry for discomfort your having! I had horrible constipation for a short period and it IS really bad! It was caused a drug the Doc gave me for dizziness - Ondansetron. The dizziness was actually a symptoms of my chronic fatigue, which thankfully is better now.

Like you, I took a mild laxative and it eventually went away. But it was not pleasant! My sympathies! Some meditation/somatic tracking may help calm the hyper-vigilant nervous system.
 
Hi there,
Have you ruled out a serious condition with a medical doctor? So you know it's not a tumor or an infection etc? Asking the doc if your symptoms could be caused by stress will open the conversation for the provider. They know that a lot of stuff is caused by stress, but don't go there because folks get offended.
 
Hoy are you doing now I'm in the same spot as you what an horrible sensation. My started with a gut infection but I took the treatment the symptom inpruve but didn't went await I spend a couple of days later symptoms free and I got a relax I have an appointment tomorrow with the specialist still. My test came fine idk have the infection anymore. A new learned symptom. Si also was almost pain free when the moment it started
