I had the gift of being treated by Dr. Sarno at Rusk in the late 1990s. He was a wonderful Godsend and I was cured of the excruciating back, neck and shoulder pain that had plagued me. In the interim years since then, I have lived a fairly pain-free existence and when an occasional tweak popped up, I would turn back to Dr. Sarno's teachings and heal myself. Those were good years.
Fourteen years ago a stage 2 cervical cancer diagnosis threw me for a loop....the treatments cured me but they also left daily residual effects - stomach issues being the most prevalent. There is true radiation damage and I've learned to cope with the changes it has brought to my life. But am I really coping??
More recently I've had recurring sinus issues, throat problems that preclude me from singing (and a loss of joy/pay), headaches, joint pain in my hands and more. Although I'm fully aware of TMS, I was certain that these issues are truly medical...but are they? My GP and more than one ENT have called it rhinitis, sinusitis without cause....arthritis as I age, environmental allergies..... For once and for all, I'm here to put TMS to the test, again, and take my life back!
