Hello people,
First of all, I would like to apologize for my English since I'm a French Canadian.
I started to have back pain in 2010 when I was 17 years old. I was in a great shape since I played hockey and workout during my entire life. But the morning I felt something was wrong in my low-back changed my life.
I passed many tests (CT scan, MRI, X-Ray) and saw many specialists (doctors, chiro, physio, acunpuncture, spine treatment, etc.) and the pain stayed.
According to the results, I had bulge discs in 2-3 different parts of my back and neck, but the pain was not directly where it should have been. I also had a big lombar sprain.
I read the Mind-body prescription last year and it improved my condition of 100% during few months. I was having pain in my mid-back when I was breathing, and even when I was waking up in the morning. After 1 week of reading, it stopped. I came back to the gym, did heavy squats and deadlifts all summer long, with no problem at all. I was free again.
After the summer, I went to the gym and did some legs workout, as usual. The next morning, when I woke up, I felt the worst pain I've ever had in my entire life. I needed 10 minutes to get up correctly and get a shower. Since then, I have a HUGE problem in my left butt and leg. I can't raise my leg very high since 6 months. I hear a "crack" in my butt when I stand up and I have also pain in my groin when I raise my leg for picking a sock or something. Sometimes, it stops and my leg is fine, but for about 1 or 2 days max. It is as if I had lost complete use of my leg.
Right now, this situation is very hard for me. I know I have a problem with TMS (I have skin problem, I had headache problems, I have problem with my stress), but nobody can help me where I live. I asked my doctor about the book of Dr Sarno and that I had a 100% relief last year, but he can't totally agree with this solution. He said that it was maybe a sciatica problem, but I can't find out how and why I have this problem.
I'm all alone, 22 years old, finishing engineering school, still in good shape since I workout "when I feel that I can". The worst part is that I can't go 100% since I'm afraid to have pain. My dream is to come back on the ice again. I didn't play a real hockey game since 2011.
Thank you for taking the time to help me and, maybe redirect me to a French therapist in Quebec or near Ontario, Canada. As I said in the title of this text, I'm feeling alone in this and I will not be able to live my life with pain.
