New Program Day 5: Changing Your Brain

This really is wonderful information. I did go through the original version but then got sidetracked more with the repressed emotion side and journaling. My brain exhausts me. It feels as though the extreme fear and monitoring of pain, anger and sadness related to it's impact on my life and...

New Program Day 4: Breaking the Pain Cycle

This happened to me with yoga and other forms of exercise. I have no idea how not to monitor my movement patterns when I'm hurting because I've done it for so long! My current trainer said "don't think about what your body is doing" and I honestly have no clue!! I don't remember.

New Program Day 3: Identifying the Source

Yes! I still do not know for sure if mine is TMS or structural. But I am much more terrified of triggering long periods of pain or making it worse than I am of injuring myself exercising.

Day 20 What would I change

Hopefully it passed 4 friends and I have had a daily gratitude list for several years. It helps us all stay accountable to it. 10 things. Sometimes one of us will flake off for a bit but ultimately return to it. Sometimes we will only have 4 or 6 things. It's been nice.

Day 20 What would I change

I would not be afraid of pain. It would not control my mood, desire to do things, ability to do things. I would be free and able to relax and have fun. I would be able to exercise often like I used to. I can read another of Sarno's books. I can make a daily reminder list and put it where I see...

Happy Thanksgiving! I will be stalking your posts!! I can't wait to watch the documentary. I wish I would have seen it when it was on here. Can't wait. Yeah, that was kind of a strange Nobel prize .... no disrespect to Bob. I hope you are having success with this theory. I think I am worse...

    Day 18 Most prevalent feelings

Most prevalent emotions for me are extreme fear of not being accepted and if not being safe. Fear of screwing up... Because I may not then be accepted. Fear of not making good choices because I may be harmed or taken advantage of in some way. Shame and guilt about being afraid, holding people...

    Day 16 Triggers

Thanks Walt, I definitely don't have to worry about Chicago weather! I sounded very whiny in my post. I just had expectations and made some assumptions that my husband was aware of the cost to travel during Christmas. He wasn't:) I fly more frequently than he does any of course I've researched...

How to tell the difference between actual injury, bad form or TMS?

Hey Tom! This is great for me to hear! I will have to check more or your posts. Yes 2 arthroscopic surgeries for FAI and a labral tear. I think FAI might be the new "Fad". Have you made a lot of progress with the Sarno approach? I get to about 70-80% then slip back. Picked up Sarno about 1 1/2...
