    Day 13 Too much information

I have been working through the structured education program slowly, sometimes every day, sometimes I skip a day, sometimes I do two days at once. Just going at my own pace, sometimes I skip a day when I feel like I need a break. Then I've gone through Alan's program on this site. That one...

    Some success!

I've been on the structured recovery plan and I'm around day 10 now. I've also been reading through Alan Gordon's program and am reading Dr. Sarno's Divided Mind book. So far some methods are working for me. I have been doing the journaling work and I have found it to be very helpful...

    Hard to keep trying

Thanks to all for the words of encouragement. Everything is helping. This is such an incredible forum with so many great people who take their time to encourage and help others. I am watching my wording to myself, as I am learning that what I say to myself makes it to my subconscious. I...

    The last time I exercised....

I will continue to run as I work through this program. The world won't end....that's a good mantra to think about. Today I cancelled my physio appointments and tossed my PF night splint.

...was this morning. I went for a 15k run. I also ran Friday morning, and Wednesday night. After I read Dr. Sarno's book I have been resuming running even though it is painful. I just keep telling myself there's nothing wrong with me and I'm not going to do any damage. I have had so many...

    Day 1 Day 1

Thanks very much for your reply, Andy. I read Dr. Sarno's book: The Mindbody Prescription, now I'm on to the Divided Mind. I'm looking forward to reading the running pain section. Right now it's hard work to completely accept the diagnosis which is key. That will be the hard work for now.

    Day 1 Day 1

I found Dr. Sarno's book a week ago and couldn't put it down. I am an avid runner and have had every kind of 'itis injury for years in my 20s; one bout of PF so bad that I had to quit running for nearly 10 years altogether. Now I'm back running again and there they all are again, the 'itises...
