Drop-in Chat Moderator

The PTPN hosts a weekly drop-in chat on Saturdays from 3-4 PM EST. This program is a terrific way for people new to TMS to interact with people who have recovered, as well as a place for long time TMSers to discuss a variety of TMS related issues. One reason this program is so successful is because it has a terrific group of moderators that welcome newcomers and answer any questions people may have.

The Role of the Moderator

The main role of the moderator is to be present during the chat and provide any technical assistance people may request such as how to change a username. Moderators also welcome newcomers, make them feel comfortable with the group, and periodically check to see that everyone is given a chance to ask questions or make comments. The moderator is encouraged to be active in the discussion, but there is no need to respond to every question or comment. Each session has one official moderator. However, other members of the moderating team are usually present during the chat to ease the load. Moderators usually moderate one session a month or every other month.
If you are interested in becoming a moderator, please contact MatthewNJ. (You'll need to be logged in to the forum in order to "Start A Conversation" (private message) with Matthew at the bottom of his profile page)
