Has anyone else experienced tearyness and feeling like you need to cry about nothing in particular as part of a symptom of TMS.
I haven't noticed people really mention it. I'm allowing it but just wondered
 
Definitely. Happens to me all the time. I just allow whatever emotions to come. It's a good thing! Just don't over analyze it.
 
I think you’re probably just tapping off some emotions that are bubbling up. TMS takes so much energy to live with that sometimes you just have to let off some steam. I cry a lot! Don’t let it worry you.

You're anxious that you won't stop being anxious, which is like a dog chasing its tail! Stop chasing your tail and as @Sita suggests - do something positive to reduce your anxiety. For example, listen to and follow the advice of Dr Claire Weekes - there's an audio book of hers called Freedom From Nervous Suffering (it's available from the Amazon website). For encouragement read how doing exactly that helped @Diana-M with her anxiety regarding leaving her house after many months of being house bound, here: https://www.tmswiki.org/forum/threads/facing-my-fears.29545/#post-156632 (Facing my fears!) Whatever form your anxiety takes, however it manifests itself, listening and, most importantly, doing what Dr Weekes says to do, will help you break the cycle of you chasing your anxiety tail. You could also meditate, do slow breathing exercises, take up tai chi and/or go for a daily walk if your symptoms currently permit and if they don't currently permit, imagine going for a walk. There is no time like the present - do something positive NOW to start getting you out of your funk, no matter how small, and then build on it.

While reading Sarno's Divided Mind, I was reminded that anxiety and all the awful sensations it produces, are TMS just like back pain. Anxiety can be so overwhelming I forget that it is just another distraction. I find I need to keep reminding myself over and over. Sarno believed education was the treatment and retraining the brain was the cure. And strangely it does work.

You seem to be quite attached to this idea, so I have to ask: do you know what your true motivation is? In other words, if you're being totally, 100% honest with yourself, are you really fighting to get better? Or are you unconsciously finding reasons to stay unwell?

Calm is in fact the cure, like your name. I mean it.

I used to worry too and I still worry sometimes for this or that. Not anxiety, other life situations. But it doesn't help. At all. I feel for you.

Calming the nervous system is the key. At least in my case it is. I use daily: meditation(s); exercise like walking outside or light aerobic inside; sun exposure in the morning, proper healthy clean diet; staying away from negative things (news, people, comments, horror stories etc); no loud crazy music/movies; simple clean home, working on my hobbies etc. Keeping it simple, serene and clean minded, as much as possible.
