TMS and Motherhood

Forest

Beloved Grand Eagle
Hi everyone,

During the call-in group tonight, we talked for a little while after the recording was turned off and one of the topics that came up was motherhood. @mousemom suggested that it might be nice to have a way to collect all of the threads about motherhood in one place.

So far, we have five threads about motherhood. I've collected them by applying a tag to all of them. The tag is "motherhood fatherhood parenthood children." It may not be the most elegant phrase, but for technical reasons that I will spare you, I believe it will work best. Anyway, here is the list:

For an intense take on the anger that can come with parenting, you can listen to the session with Dustin from the TMS Recovery Program donated by Alan Gordon, LCSW:

For a take on comforting yourself the same way that you would comfort a child, you can listen to the session with Mandi:

Hope this helps!

... And please do post if you have any topics you would like to bring up or ask about TMS and motherhood. There are quite a few mothers on the forum now and perhaps one could answer!

Wish I could comment on this but despite being both my dog's father and mother, I know zilch about parenting.
I'm just glad I never had to do it. Parents deserve medals every day.

Thanks Forest for the post! I hope parents will use these tags to help connect with others that are parents that are struggling with TMS. Thanks also for listening to me last night. I know I need to face this fear that I have with my back head on now. Take care!
