Oh I like the idea of granddogs!!! thank you they are indeed!
Isn't she cuuuute? She was (and still is) an adorable thing. That 'mugger mask' makes her special. Dear Kharma her mom nearly died during labor. Chaya was the only pup. So imagine she became very special to my daughter and son in law. Kharma had to be taken to the Vet because she was loosing temperature while in labor. By the time they got her to the Vet, they had to put her under, did a caesarian section and advised my daughter that possibly mom and pup would die. Thank God none of that happen, Chaya came out fighting, Kharma survived internal bleeding.
The name Chaya (in Hebrew) means 'living'. My daughter wanted to find a name that suited her and that name was very much who she is. Because Chaya was the only pup, she grew up spoiled, had to learn limits that generally pups learn from their siblings. Chaya did not have to fight for the 'milk bar', she had the whole of her mom's milk bar for herself. Today Chaya is still a pup in her behavior. Look at the picture of Kharma and her and you can tell the playfulness, the difference in attentiveness. My daughter thinks Chaya has ADD. She loves jumping and sitting on the lap of people. Well, that can't be because she is 38 kgs of muscle and bones!

When she is around me, she becomes very peaceful and relaxed, it is almost as if my touch sends her into trance.
The sad thing about Australian Bulldogs is that they do not live more than 10 years. Kharma (the darling of my son in law) is already 8 years old. We are hoping and praying that she will live at least until 12 years old. I do not want to think the grief that my son in law will endure when she leaves us

. Kharma is so sweet, you can see it in her darling intelligent face. Anyway, this is just a little story of these two beautiful sentient beings.
Have a great healthy day!
