THE SECRET: Stable TMS Treatment Results

As a victim of TMS, as well as treating hundreds of patients with TMS, I found that it's a very dynamic process meant to be constantly adjusted. Being paralyzed on my left side as a result of two herniated discs, I spent a great deal of time trying to find the way out. I tried everything; acupuncture, chiropractic adjustment, massage, herbs and homeopathy. Nothing was helping until I discovered Dr. Sarno, who kindly let me spend some time with him observing his magnificent work.

We are all different having slightly different approaches. Keep in mind the very core is understanding the psychosomatic nature of the problem. The majority of the patients who I’ve seen in my office have gone through circles of specialists, having images and status. Very frustrated people who are almost ready to give up because the problems are still there. You have to be very honest and make sure that the patient has TMS and nothing else.

    Stages of TMS

What I found in my practice is the patients with the TMS get through several stages.
Stage 1 - I'm doomed, nothing is helping, I don't know what to do anymore.
Stage 2 - I found Dr. Sarno's work of TMS. Maybe this is the light at the end of the tunnel?
Stage 3 - I have my ups and downs. Sometimes I am 100% sure that it's TMS and some days I have doubts maybe it's something real.
Stage 4 - I start mastering work with the TMS. Each next episode all the TMS is exciting challenge. How quickly and nicely I can put TMS under control? It becomes fun. I'm happy because know I can control my TMS.
Stage 5 - I start seeing TMS in people around me and I want to share my knowledge and experience to help them out.

    Collaboration between Practitioners & Patients

In addition to this pattern I found the best way to learn is to teach. I might come to work having symptoms of TMS and talking to patients trying to explain the very nature of TMS my pain will disappear. It was a WOW discovery and I found the best way to stay on the top of the challenging life dealing with TMS is to create like-minded health oriented TMS community with mutual support.

It is time for all these wonderful practitioners who dedicated their work to TMS to get together and start to collaborate. Patience who have success in conquering TMS should be a part of the team.
Special thanks to Robert Munger who passionately get his heart, time and effort to welcome everyone into virtual space ofhttp://www.tmswiki.org/ (The Tension Myositis Syndrome Wiki)

Time is right and we have a lot of work to do. We have a lot of brothers and sisters who suffered immensely without even understanding that the way out is possible. I hope that it's the beginning of wonderful collaboration.
