Hey all
I wanted to give an update on where I’m at. A brief list of “diagnosis” /TMS Symptoms (after fall from horse) is Post Concussion Syndrome, Whiplash, Occipital and Trigeminal Nueralgia, Migrane with Aura, eye pain (with temporary vision disturbance) all started after an injury. 2 years of pain.
Here’s the good bit:
I just cycled 20 miles. I’m lifting 70kg at the gym. I’m riding my horse again. I rode one of those rodeo bulls at a wedding without fear. I’m training for a marathon. I ran with my two neices on both my hips for about 500m yesterday along the beach without fear.
I was bedbound, hopeless and at the end of my wits, I had no way out (that’s what I thought!) and I started here.
Since then I’ve had a fricken awesome pain coach and I’ve enjoyed every bit of my journey (even the awful flares). I am every bit the person I want to be. I’ve had multiple pain free days and I am absolutely over the moon. The clunking in my neck has even improved and I didn’t even think that was possible.
This is a mid-point success, I’m by no means “healed” in the sense that I still have some fears that creep in, but my goodness if I look back even just 6 months ago, I bloody love my body.
Anyone without hope. You’ll get there, I promise x
