Guilty!
One of my symptoms has worsened, (LPR silent reflux) even after following a low acid diet for six weeks, and honoring the SEP work.
This led me to a string of threads provided by Cactusflower where I found others who had healed from Gerd and LPR. BUT! Despite the mostly encouraging stories, one contained a link referencing the work of Dr. Jaime Koufman re acid reflux. Since it was her low acid diet I follow, I thought the link might also be helpful. It was not. In fact it described the worst case scenarios that could happen to those suffering from LPR! This included a lifetime of taking medicine (PPI’s). BTW, the first time I followed this diet, my symptoms went away. This time, it’s not working as well. Hmmm.
I was really getting comfortable with the idea of my symptoms being TMS when I read Dr. Koufman’s disheartening article and have experienced a setback. I wish I had not gone searching! I wonder now if I ever believed mine was TMS to be so easily swayed? I must admit that I am angry at myself for doing this.
