Revisiting SEP

So, I've decided to revisit SEP as I've been a bit worried lately because it's nearly the one-year anniversary of me experiencing extreme pain in both legs that really affected my mobility. Although I recognise that I'm in a much better place and I actually know what causes my pain now, I did find the structure of this programme helpful and I feel like there's more I can get from this/may notice different things this time. Plus, I never did get through all my journaling lists!

However, I'm going to go at a much slower pace, letting each day pan out over two-three days and I'm going to take more breaks inbetween. Since I first completed SEP, my pain has lowered a lot, I've been walking around more and I've stopped using mobility aids for the majority of the time. I feel like my pain doesn't have so much power over me now and I'm more focused on just living my life. The world is actually starting to open back up for me - I don't just have to sit in the car parks of parks, I can actually walk in them!

I still have a lot of fear that's holding me back and I still feel like I have a long way to go. So, I'm seeing myself at this middle ground right now. Casually doing this programme, continuing to implement useful techniques/thinking in my everyday life... but mainly focusing on just living my life.

@eluna !
This is fantastic news! I use mobility aids for walking, so I’m especially excited for you. And what a testament to the SEP! Good for you to be doing it again —and more slowly this time. This sounds like an incredibly good idea. I can’t wait to hear how it goes for you!
