Thank you, thank you so much for taking the time. You don’t know how much I am suffering. I just want to keep moving forward for myself and for my family, holding on to the hope that this hell will eventually start to ease little by little. I do the best I can each day with whatever comes my way, staying calm.

Dudar es normal.

Todos preguntan:

—¿Esto es real?
—¿De verdad esto es lo que tengo?
—¿Puedo cambiar esto?
—¿Lo estoy haciendo bien?

Estas dudas son un ciclo.

El ciclismo forma parte del proceso de recuperación, no del fracaso.

Sentir cierta incertidumbre no impide la curación.

No es necesario que lo hagas a la perfección.

Los días malos no borran el progreso.

Las respuestas neutrales o tranquilas generan seguridad con el tiempo.

El progreso se produce incluso cuando no puedes sentirlo.

Los síntomas desaparecen (pero generalmente no de forma lineal).

En resumen:

Estás a salvo en este momento.

No eres un "caso especial"; tu cerebro es capaz de responder a los mensajes de seguridad que le transmites.

Todas las personas pueden recuperarse del dolor psicosomático/TMS y otros síntomas.

Sé amable contigo mismo.

Autoconsuelo.

You don’t know how much I am suffering.
I'm really sorry you're going through this. Although our symptoms won't have been the same, I was bedridden and housebound with mine so I do empathise with your suffering.

Something that helped me was regularly focusing on my breath—especially slowing it down by lengthening the out-breaths. It became a mainstay during my recovery.
