Hi @readyto heal u have got some good advice from the above 2 posters.
Although the pain will appear very physical in nature don't let that in any way deter u from thinking psychologically. After all the purpose of the pain is to keep u focused & what Dr Sarno tells u is that it is exactly what u must not let it do. It doesn't matter one bit what is causing the pain. The mind body connection is a complex one & one affects the other. You can learn how to be in pain but by the same token u can also unlearn it.
Pain is a learned response. It's a question of breaking the cycle & changing how u react to the pain. How u choose to do that is entirely up to u. U can ignore the pain, journal, meditate, take up a hobby, medicate, look at personality traits that may be causing tension etc.
