Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

I would suggest getting a second or third opinion. If you're in the 5th percentile then that shows structural degradation of your nerve fibers, no? Personally, if I could have some sort of confirmation of neuropathy I'd be going the Pirenzepine route to try regrow the fibers, then ARA 290, etc. There are some unconventional treatments for neuropathy, but if it's TMS it'll do nothing for you.

The only real test is the skin biopsy, but even then, they need to test you once, then test you again a year later and compare the density of the nerve fibers and again a year later.

I've done so much research on this, studied articles and have been on every FB Group/reddit/forum available, and every sufferer says their symptoms change daily - one neurologist claimed "The only thing predictable about neuropathy is that it is unpredictable". I've been to Neurologists where I legitimately knew more on the subject than them. Sucks I can't get the test in Australia and Corona makes it impossible to fly to Europe. I would hate to pursue this TMS route for years and years just to find out it's useless for the structural damage.
How are you tracking ? can you update us all who are invested in your recovery

Hi @ficus you asked sunrise for an update. It is on the previous page.

Sunrise was the OP (originating poster). If you go to sunrise’s profile and click on the posts tab you can read the history and many of the amazing posts from others along sunrise’s way.
Oh WOW THANK YOU ..... im not good at using this site at all - so thank you for sending me that what an awesome story to have

Hi all.

OP here. Checking back in to say I am 100% with no symptoms.

My biggest bit of advice is surrender to the symptoms, stop chasing diagnosis and accept it. Expose yourself to normality - back with friends, public, people, hobbies, etc. Stop seeking reassurance. It might not be this year, it might not be next year, you will have bad days, you will have VERY BAD days.. but it will pass. If it passed for me, it will pass for you. I spent so much money at so many health professionals because I refused my believe my mind could conjure all these physical symptoms.

What a tough time in my life this was. And there have been other tough times since (unrelated) which have caused me to completely forget about this saga. We're always going to be faced with battles in life and we can't drop everything and wallow in depression, we have to keep pushing. No one gets through to the end of life without a few chinks in the armor.

My DMs are open if you want to talk.

Thanks

That's awesome. Do you have any more advice? How long would you say it took you to fully recover?

You had neuropathy ?? how long did you have that before you found this work and how are you now? do. you get the symptoms still
I recovered a long time ago, and still doing just fine. I only had it for about 18 months before I got rid of it. I had a return of symptoms once, but briefly and intermittently. All gone now. You can read more on my profile page here.

This is the wrong question, @panopticon! Everyone's journey is unique and different. Our regular and most important advice is to forget about the calendar, and just do the work. If you don't know what that means, even though I see that you have posted here since last fall, please start your own thread in the Support subforum, give a very brief synopsis of your experience so far (remember that symptom details are not significant) remind us if you've been medically checked, and tell us how much or little you already know about the theories of Dr John Sarno, and whether you've engaged in any TMS program work.
