need advice...could hand tremor be TMS???

i have been dealing with TMS for the past 16 years, Back Pain, Knee pain, heart palpitation, Migraine Headaches, and more, and always manages to get over them with the books of Dr. Sarno (and hard hard work and focus!)

i started having hand tremors in the last few months, that eventually started to make it hard for me to eat with light utensils, or work on the mouse of the computer (wich is necessary for my job, so i got freaked ou by it) , i went to my family doctor who said it is essential tremor, that it gets worse with age, and he gave me betta blockers. i feel that my anxiety over this is making it worse...of course.

could this be TMS? i can't find essential tremor in the Dr. Sarno books i have...

Hi Elle,

My personal opinion: Yes it can be TMS.

Just do a search for 'tremor' and go read a couple of threads on this subject.

Thanks so much
Gigalos, i will. anyone reading this had a similar experience...? my family doctor diagnosed it as essential tremor...scares me to death, especially since he said it gets worse with age and i am in my 40's...planning to work 'un-shakenly' for many more years...

Elle- Just a word about tremors, they can occur for a variety of reasons- some likely TMS, some are not. I would recommend having a neurologist take a look if needed, family doctors are not specialized in diagnosing various types of tremor. As a PT who specializes in neurology i've seen many reasons for tremor occurring. Just want to make sure you cover your bases!

Thank you. I am nervous to go to a neurologist because, like every TMS I had in the past - back pain, knee pain, digestive problems etc - I was always diagnosed by the specialists doctor, and this just delayed my way to understanding it's TMS and getting better. There is no way that any neurologist will tell me it's actually TMS...but I might do it anyway because I am getting really scared and anxious.
Thank you again for your concern :-)
