My biggest breakthrough yet!

Diana-M

Beloved Grand Eagle
This past week I’ve been feeling 50-80% less pain. Things are changing! I feel it with all my heart.

What’s working:

—Daily dedicated exercise (bed yoga) followed by guided meditation.

—Much less focus on TMS. (Even took time off from the forum.)

—Doing a lot of self-soothing.

—More prayer. (More faith that God is healing me. More faith that God has me and there’s nothing to fear.)

—More focus on forgiving people. (This has been big. I’ll write more about it later.)

—I started visualizing what I want. And I went all out. I decided I want to be able to run on the beach. Why not? I haven’t run in decades. I can’t walk right now unassisted. But yeah—that’s my new goal. I’m going to run. I visualize it vividly all day long. It’s exciting! It makes me smile. I visualize it when I go to bed at night. I visualize it when things are hard to do. And, as I visualize it, it’s getting more and more real to me and more achievable in my mind’s eye. (Dream big! I think it’s like kicking your TMS in the teeth.)

I’ve had symptoms (this time) since 2020. They drastically worsened after I had Covid in early 2024. I’ve done a lot of things to try and get better. And a lot of times I wondered if it’s all futile. Really, I’ve had very little physical improvement over the past 2 years. But lots of emotional improvement. Tons, in fact. I went from being direly depressed to mainly optimistic. But NOW!… this is the first consistent niggling of a really big breakthrough in my pain level. Woohoo!

I really want to encourage those who think there’s no hope to keep your hopes alive. I have had widespread pain and very weird extreme anxiety symptoms for 2+ years. I’ve done all sorts of things to try and get better, and I think it’s all *finally* starting to come together.

This forum—the people here—the honesty—the compassion—the wisdom shared—has —and is —saving my life. So, thank you, thank you, thank you! Hugs to all of you!

Here’s to hoping that 2026 is our year!

Thanks, @Mani! You too! Can’t wait for your successes. I noticed you have changed a lot since you first came here. Very positive now. This is awesome! It all adds up.

Wow! Taking a step back and working on some things really seemed to help you. I must admit I missed seeing your posts, but I am so glad to hear the update and you are seeing things changing. Just further proof we keep going and keep the faith. I've really lacked in my faith with God. I ended up getting mad at him for all of this back in 2024 and kind of stayed mad. My goal for 2026 is to keep up on my daily bible reading and praying more. So far that has had made a different for me as well!
