At work I notice patterns: when I receive feedback or interact with supervisors, my perfectionist and goodist tendencies activate. I feel pressure to perform, to be agreeable, and to respond immediately, even in my private time. This creates tension and contributes to my symptoms.
I’m also gaining clarity about what I value most: freedom, autonomy, and flexibility. Realizing that a more regular work structure may not suit me has already brought some mental relief.
Since starting the program, I’ve shared my TMS journey with my parents and sister, who have been supportive. I already notice less fear around pain and less compulsive monitoring. I’m curious to see what further insights this process will bring.
