How do I put my story under 'My story' on my profile page?

When I go to my profile page I can see 'My story' but when I click on it nothing happens to allow me to write in a box or anything. I'd like to post up my story. I expect it's me. I can't work out what I need to do. Help! 😁
 
Hiya!

Click on your Username in the top right
Head to 'Account Details'
Scroll down to 'Your Story'. You should be able to type in the text box. Hit 'Save' at the bottom when you're done! 💫

Thanks for replying! 🙏 I just tried that out by putting some text in the box and saved it at the bottom. Went back to my profile, clicked on 'My story' but there was no sign of my test text. Perhaps there's a glitch on my account or I need to tick a box somewhere to allow something that I'm not allowing. Perhaps I need to ask @JanAtheCPA.

That's interesting! I just did the same (I didn't have to tick a box) and it worked, maybe a glitch indeed?

Are you down in the section below the gender choices and Occupation box, with editing tools at the top of the section after the words My Story? It should look like this

Yes I put the test text in the box under the heading 'Your Story' just as you show it above and then I clicked 'save', and then I went to my profile to see if when I clicked on 'My story' it would come up but it didn't.

However, good news, I've now seen where I was going wrong and I'm all sorted and set to go! dancea

I tried it again and noticed that after I clicked on 'save' it moved my cursor into the box with the heading 'Introduction' which has in small print under that heading 'required', so I put a sentence in that box and then clicked on 'save' and voila up came a message saying that my changes had been saved! Then I went to my profile, clicked on 'My story' and the test text I'd entered into the 'Your story' box is there.

So, not a glitch, it was down to 'pilot error' - me not noticing where my curser had gone and also not noticing the 'required' instruction. My bad - I'm sorry about that! :rolleyes:

Interesting! The Introduction field is supposed to be a requirement of registration, but people can skip it and still register an account - as you apparently did back in 2018. Mind you, if a registration is held up as dubious by the spam screening which uses built-in algorithms and spam databases, I can reject them for not filling in that field.

More info to tuck away for future reference!
