Going on meds if tms doesn't work

Lee222

I've been trying tms type therapies for a few decades now and had zero success.

I've gone back on meds for the first time since my teens, I feel a bit gutted about it, I've always been against medication but what else can you do?

Anyone else been in a similar situation?

Any advice etc

I was on meds when I first recovered from TMS in 2013. After getting rid of the TMS, I started to wean myself off of the drugs. So in my experience, meds don't prevent TMS recovery.

I have many friends with health anxiety that have said meds have allowed them to live again. No shame. Life is for living. No need to feel gutted. Some of our minds and bodies react a certain way and if those meds help you put this behind you and live a happy life that's absolutely fine.
It doesn't matter what techniques you use to feel good and live life.
Enjoy your new opportunity to feel better. There is more than one way through this.
So take your meds and put this all behind you.
As Ellen says you can always come back to TMS learning later or in conjunction with what you are doing now.
