Digestive IBS GUT issues

I dont see too many IBS stories..but its ok. I can talk about what i see, read and experienced myself and hopefully try to help someone who is always having digestive issues and diareah and weird bowels etc.

Its DEF not the diet, or foods or supplements, or going green, or just drinking water, or vitamins etc etc.

What will Heal your GUT issues is having your nervous system return back to Rest and Digest.
Right now its over reacting to everything , every food. No protocols worked for me, it actually made things worse.

I known many people that have Healed from Ucerative colotis, chrohns, diverticulitis, ulcers, sibo, candida, leaky gut , diareah, constipatiaon, gastritis, hemroids etc.

Its all the same thing... STRESS got you there... and the only way out is MINDBODY!

I have researched this so much, and You can literally stay stuck and be fearful of these cramps, pains, stool, etc... But this is your nervous system being on survival mode. fight or flight.
Nothing is coming in, everything is coming out. Once you have a fear or worry, the symptoms will keep on going and going.

Once you stop reacting to your symptoms with FEAR , overtime your brain will get it. It just needs to rewire and feel safe so it can send messages to your nervous system.

The body knows how to heal! it doesnt need any help from you. Its been doing it forever!

You dont need a special diet or supplements. (those can actually make it worse).

You need to address the root cause of symptoms ...possibly a tramutic event or excessive fighting with your relationships or your boss is an asshole , or you got bullied..etc. Its been piling up for years and years until it threw you symptoms to get your attention in the form of Digestive issues.

But as always there is HOPE! Ive also kown people after 30 years of IBS...they cured or healed.

so no matter how long you been having symtoms, you can always heal!

Reprogramming the brain to feel safe, live life and Lower your stress levels.. in time your nervous system will get back into rest and digest and all your symtoms will dissapear.

Do not be afraid of the foods and trying new things or protocols! If you keep doing this then the brain still thinks your in danger mode.

Chill out, and if you get symptms or stebacks (which you will), dont over react... be cool, laugh at it and take your symtoms with you to live your life or do your chores or do what you have to do!

Dont pay it no mind,

This is how i cured my insomnia 10 years ago. I treid tried tried to sleep and could never go to sleep until i gave up the fight. i gave up the resistance!

IBS is due to stress.
Overloaded system.

The only true way out is MiNDBODY!

The many mnay people that have healed ALL went thru the rabbit hole...a million doctors, a million nature pathic doctors, a million supplements, vitamins, even having fecal transplant! And they can all attest they never got better until they did mindbody!

There always will be hope!

Thank you for this! I have believed in TMS for many years. Got rid of migraines about 20 years ago . The last few years I have been dealing an extremely aggravating chronic sinus drainage that keeps me coughing , and the stress of that presented me with IBS. I defintely KNOW it's stress that got me here. Tried everything and everyone, you know the drill. I get it that is TMS, I do. I don't fear it anymore. But I have had a couple of "real" things happen like a skin cancer on my face of all places and three teeth that need to be pulled. The "what if" stories around those two things alone are stressful and I know I am just conjuring them up and catastrophizing about the future. So it's these things that are keeping the digestive issues activated. To top it off, I am underweight and don't feel like eating. Not a good combination. I can't seem to ignore it and go on with life bc of the pain. I do everything I can do in a day, pushing myself to get thru the grocery store, for example. Short walks tho it is painful to walk. I cry every day. I know it's up to me to ignore it, give it no attention. I just don't know why I can't let go. Pretty desperate if you or anyone has any advice?

I recovered from IBS more than 10 years ago, long before I knew anything about the mind-body approach. Looking back, the biggest thing I remember is that I gradually became indifferent to the symptoms instead of constantly focusing on them.

At the time, I was going through an incredibly stressful period. I felt anxious every single day, struggled with insomnia, and on top of the intestinal symptoms, I could barely keep any food down.

Restoring your nervous system is a slow process. It takes consistency and patience!!

I also remember that I loved writing fictional stories. It gave me a sense of relief because, in a way, I was pouring my emotional pain into those stories. Just as importantly, I started finding new interests and hobbies to fill my days. Things that genuinely made me happy despite the symptoms.

Little by little, I got better.

Believe me, you will get better too.

I do KNOW to do these things, I just have lost alk motivation and csn't think of one single thing that I can get excited about, that would bring me joy. It's ridiculous how dull I feel. Anyway, I am attempting every day to ignore the symptoms that I have allowed to victimize me and exhaust me. I get in loops where one symptom keeps another one alive, like clearing my throat creates near constant tension in my torso/stomach/back that I know is TMS, but I seem to need a lot of reinforcement. Thank you for your story. Every one helps.

It’s okay. I think everyone goes through that at some point. I didn’t know about mind body work back then, but I knew my symptoms were connected to my mind. I was constantly looking for reassurance that it was all related to my emotions and that it would eventually pass.

Now TMS has come back for me, but this time as muscle tension throughout my body. I still need to read success stories regularly because they help me keep believing in recovery and stay motivated.

Our minds will often try to convince us to give up, especially when we’re actually on the right path.

Yes. There are so many neuroscientists coming out now about mind/body being ONE and how our thoughts actually set up our circumstances. Podcasts and videos about spontaneous healings, or some things taking some time but healed just the same, seem to be everywhere now that I am seeing them (algorythm has me pegged! :) and they are also very reassuring. WE CAN DO THIS! It's all so much the same as TMS. What's hardest for me is ignoring the expectation and the desire to want to get better - trying not to make it outcome dependent but how can we not want to end pain. even when we KNOW this!!! And the more debilitating our health issues are, the harder it is. I don't want to go down a negative path here, especially since this thread is in Success Stories, but I don't want to get into a wound-mate situation comparing symptoms that happens in other threads. Each level of conversation is valuable, so not dissing any of them.
