I have been doing the research on mind body syndrome or TMS for almost 2 years now. My pain has become somewhat manageable, but I am never not in pain and I get terrible flare-ups. But luckily they don’t last for longer than a week or so - but to be honest when I get those flare-ups, I can spiral and can get very emotional. I know fear still controls me. The fear of having to go back to where I was 2 years ago, not being able to sit, lie down or sleep. Having non stop tingling and numbness in my right leg all the way to my toes. The fear of excruciating glute pain. I listen to podcast almost every day, I journal, I try every day, but don’t always make time for it it (my fault). I have cried, and prayed and cried and cried some more. My anxiety can go through the roof. I feel weak and stupid that I can’t get my mind right - that I can’t control this fear.
I am now going to do this program. I pray that I will have the discipline to keep going, and that I will have openness. Because sometimes I do doubt - I do doubt about TMS. I have the evidence list, but my anxiety takes over and doubt kicks in. Happy to be here. i ordered one of Alan Gordon’s book - can’t wait to read it
