    Hello everyone,

My name is Lars, 27 years old. I live in the Netherlands.

I am having chronic pain for more than 13 years. In these years I have had pains all around my body.
I have seen every doctor or specialist you can name. Nobody could tell me the real cause of my pains.
    -Groin pain
    -Back pain
    -Stomach pain (spastic colon)
    -Neck pain
    -Shoulder pain

7 months ago I found out about TMS and ordered the book Healing back pain by John Sarno.
I find it very likely that TMS is the cause of my symptoms. I am a perfectionist and a worrier.
I also agree with the idea that the pain is caused by emotions. After healing back pain I started reading other books: The divided mind, the mindbody prescription and the Great Pain deception by Steve O.

I found the books very helpful and I can say that my pain has decreased a lot since 7 months.
Only thing is the pain still keeps coming back and I am still worried that it keeps coming back if I do certain things. Now the pain is shifting very often between my Neck, Back and Groins. I can't let go of this worry yet.

That's why I started the Structured Educational Program. I hope it can help resolve my chronic pain further.

    Best wishes,

Welcome Lars. I just did Day 40 this evening, and I have read the books you have listed and a couple more. My pain (from about 30 years) is greatly decreased, and my worry about the pain is 99% gone. I know what's happening is not a problem or a disease and I'm doing things that I want to do. I'm back to exercise, and I'm doing my job with enthusiasm (rather than caution and worry). I really think the directed journalling in this program has helped tremendously. Just tonight I visited an event from my past and allowed myself to feel what I was not wanting to feel then. You sound like you are off to a good start. I think you will like this program. I'll keep reading your posts.
