Hello, I am Thea, 26 years old. I have healed from chronic dizziness before using the mind body approach about two years ago. However almost a year ago I went through a very big trauma and after the first few weeks when i was just crying all the time, once i started going back to my routines, I started developing a few issues that fit the nature of psychosomatic/stress related symptoms.

First of all, I am struggling with fatigue that isn't debilitating enough to be classified as CFS, but does impact me in my daily life. It follows a pattern, being stronger when i wake up, sometimes giving me the wish to take a nap around 10 or 11 am. It lifts as the day goes on. What makes me think it's mind-body related is that some days i am so tired all the time until I have some external obligation to do (work at 4pm, or some appointment sooner) and it magically lifts before my obligations. I work part time, study in university online and go to dance lessons 2-3 times a week (around 3 to 5 hours of dance total a week), plus meet a couple of friends, do some house chores etc. However the days i don't have any plan it's like my body just wants to collapse and rest. It's like my brain knows my calendar and when it can give me the tiredness.

Second, i am getting occasional tension headaches. Sometimes they spread behind my eyes. This is a bit easier for me to accept and allow to be there with me through the rest of my day. They get better with sleep and exercise.

I am quite convinced this is TMS. However my doctor still wants to rule out sleep apnea, since i have a deviated septum, a lot of nasal congestion from allergies and huge tonsils. Also i snore a lot and wake up periodically through the night. However the waitlist for the test is around a year, and i don't want to wait until then to try the TMS approach, when I'm almost convinced of the nature of my issues.

The time i healed from the dizziness I did learn a lot, however i didn't follow any kind of structure and i feel it was a bit chaotic/disorganized and now i feel that i can benefit from community and structure. I also didn't read Sarno books and feel that now it's time. I'm thankful to be part of this, and i wish everyone here lots of healing.
